FLEET MAINTENANCE MECHANIC: The Town of Stockbridge is seeking a full time Fleet Maintenance Mechanic under the supervision of the Highway Department Superintendent. Performs routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on a wide variety of gas and diesel, Town-owned equipment including, but not limited to motor vehicles, construction equipment, emergency vehicles, power equipment, and other machinery in Town service. Work may be heavy and performed under adverse working conditions. Applicants are required to have a minimum of a high school education or equivalent, a minimum of five years of experience in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance. Experience with municipal and winter operations desirable. Any equivalent combination of education and experience. SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION The Town of Stockbridge provides its employees with a robust benefits package which include: Medical, Dental, Sick-Time, Life Insurance, Holiday Pay, Personal Time, Vacation Time, a Pension Plan, and more. This is a full time, 40-hour work week position with occasional overtime as needed and for emergency response. This role is classified as Mechanic/Equipment Operator/CDL, $27.65 per hour.
