TOWN OF SANDISFIELD EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/LABORER: Full-time, 40 hr/wk benefited position. Applicant must be able to lift 50lbs, and have construction/mechanical knowledge. Duties include physical labor, driving trucks, operating heavy machinery, and plowing snow. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. A CDL Class A or B License, Hydraulic Class 2A or 2B License, and 4G Mowing License are required within 90 days of hire date. Town is willing to pay for license acquirement with a two-year commitment to the position. Hourly wages are $23.86 to $31.41 depending on licenses. GRADER OPERATOR/LABORER: Full-time, 40 hr/wk benefited position. Grader Operator/ Laborer position is an elevated rate of pay for a well-qualified candidate with a minimum of 5 years' experience that has completed training for the grader and is found to be proficient in repairing, as well as maintaining the towns dirt roads. Applicant must be able to lift 50lbs, and have construction/mechanical knowledge. Other duties include physical labor, driving trucks, operating heavy machinery, and plowing snow. DPW WORKING FOREMAN: Full-time, 40 hr/wk benefited position. Working Foreman will be expected to assist in the coordination of daily work cooperatively with the Superintendent as well as coordinate all daily work when the Superintendent is absent. The Working Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the worksite to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner.
