Facilities / Maintenance Manager 5+ years experience Job description: T.H.M. Property Management Services in Manchester, VT, seeks experienced facilities manager. Responsible for oversight of 19 HUD and USDA Rural Development multi-family housing properties in VT and NH, plus several properties in Manchester, VT. Tasks include: managing site maintenance staff/contractors; addressing tenant maintenance concerns; working with HUD, USDA, and Housing Vermont to prepare for and conduct annual physical inspections and ensure properties meet agency standards; working with contractors, engineers, and other professionals; planning and implementing long-term capital needs assessments; working with THM housing rental program managers on management and budgets. Qualified candidates should have: Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years experience in facilities management; understanding of building trades, carpentry, electrical, grounds maintenance, and other aspects of building maintenance; understanding of building systems including, heating systems, fire alarms, elevators, sprinklers, generators, etc. and regular maintenance and inspection for each system; proficient computer skills including excel spread sheets and word; excellent analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of government housing programs is strongly desired, particularly HUD inspections, Fair Housing regulations, Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodation, USDA Rural Development loan programs.
