Berkshire Medical Center, Inc. Physician Assistant 725 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 $114,007.088 to $154,785.072/year 40 hours/week 100% onsite. 25% domestic travel within Berkshire County to provide care at other Berkshire Health clinical sites, including Berkshire Health Pediatrics and Macony Pediatrics. JOB DUTIES: Take a history and perform a physical examination of patients. Develop medical care plans for patients, through medical knowledge and clinical decision-making ability. Communicate with patients and staff, verbally and otherwise, in a manner that exhibits good professional judgement and is appropriate for the professional setting. Read charts, monitors, and other sources of clinical information. Complete appropriate medical records and documents and plans according to protocol in a complete, timely manner. Elicit information from patients by palpitation, auscultation, percussion, and other diagnostic maneuvers. Execute motor movements reasonably to provide general care and emergency treatment to patients. Perform all job functions while dressed in protective clothing required for clinical duties, including a mask, gown, and gloves. Work shifts of varying lengths and schedules, including daytime, evening, and overnight clinical shifts. Fulfill backup and on-call duties as scheduled. Provide care at other Berkshire Health clinical sites in Berkshire County, including Berkshire Health Pediatrics and Macony Pediatrics. Utilize a computer for medical record review, documentation, decision support, research, and education in an efficient and timely fashion. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Must possess active/valid Physician Assistant (PA) license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
