Part-Time Maintenance Technician A 78 unit senior disabled and family Section 8 housing development located in Dalton, MA 01226 is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate is responsible, along with the rest of the team, for the day to day maintenance of the physical structure including but not limited to unit rehabs, minor plumbing, minor electrical, heating systems, fire protection systems and security systems, landscaping, snow removal, etc. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning issues that affect the efficient management of the apartment complex and the comfort and welfare and safety of the residents. The Maintenance Technician works under the direction of the site manager. Job Requirements: - Must have a minimum of three years' experience preferably in subsidized housing - Excellent demonstrated carpentry skills, basic plumbing skills and electrical skills, as well as have knowledge of all maintenance related typical work in an apartment complex. This is a hands-on job working as part of a team. - Computer skills mail - Ability to communicate professionally and have proven customer service skills, particularly when working with the elderly and disabled - Mass.
