POSITION OPENING TOWN OF CHESHIRE CUSTODIAN/ CARETAKER The Town of Cheshire is seeking qualified applicants for the TEMPORARY position Custodian/Caretaker. This position is appointed by the Board of Selectmen but under the guidance and direction of the Highway Superintendent. This position is responsible for the cleaning and routine maintenance of various Town-owned buildings and grounds. Employee is required to perform all similar or related duties. Performs general cleaning and housekeeping within the buildings, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors; vacuuming carpets and rugs; cleaning/sanitizing restrooms; disposing of trash and recyclables; dusting and general cleaning of offices and furniture/equipment; refilling restroom supplies; cleaning windows, mowing, and snow removal. This is a temporary position and will not exceed 20 weeks. This will be 40 hours per week while this position is open. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills.
